High school is not about memorizing your textbook, it's about putting your knowledge to good use. If that means spending an year in a remote African country, serving as a teacher and village leader for a group of poor unfortunate people, then do it. If that means spending your free time writing and recording the next "Don't Stop Believing", then do it. And if that means spending my time working behind the scenes to keep a website going for others to use... I'll do it. Email.
Writing Coordinator (Past): Courtney Cheng
Being a writer and editor isn't a job. It's a hobby that I've picked up over time, taking inspiration from movies, books, music, current events, and everything in between. Writing is a way to let others know what you're thinking while leaving room for an individual's imagination. Every person deserves an opportunity to share their work and express their thoughts in a friendly environment, something I hope to provide all aspiring writers on this site. Email.
Event Coordinator (Past): Jennifer Lee

Sometimes I wonder why we choose to partition a part of our lives to this—the organizing sessions, the pressure for creative thinking, the fundings, and the long nine hour day of activities. Then I remember. I am surrounded by team members devoted to enriching others' lives, and I watch the children reading books, laughing, and smiling in the learning experience—this is the 'why'. And it is worth every minute. Email.

Having been born and raised on a farm, I was always encouraged to plant hope and reap confidence. Gazing up at the night sky, I dreamt of being a shooting star and helping others to soar with me. My goal has always been to inspire, motivate, inform, and educate while allowing and accepting freedom of expression.  Working with women, families, and young people, watching them sprout and blossom, is my greatest joy. If I can instill the seeds of passion, purpose, possibility, and perseverance, I have sowed well. I am a gardener. I grow people. Email.
